“Looks like you two had some fun in the bathroom this morning. Did you enjoy your time together?”

Anthony and Marianne were both blushing as Secilia teased them, a knowing grin plastered on her face as she looked at the pair. Beside her, Brianna just sighed and pressed a hand against her face as though she couldn’t believe what had just happened really happened.

After Marianne’s scream, Brianna and Secilia had been startled awake and rushed into the bathing room, thinking something bad had happened. They had been rather shocked to find Anthony and Marianne in such a compromising position. Of course, Secilia being Secilia, she was not one to let such prime teasing material go to waste.

“I always knew you could be bold, Mari, but I didn’t realize you were bold enough to push Anthony onto the ground like that.”

“Th-th-that isn’t what happened,” Marianne mumbled as she covered her face with her hands.

“Oh-ho? Then what did happen, pray tell?”

Secilia’s words only caused Marianne’s face to turn several shades darker.

They were sitting at the dinner table and having breakfast. Because of what happened this morning, Marianne hadn’t prepared anything extravagant. It was just simple bacon and eggs. That said, it was definitely more delicious than anything he could make and was certainly better than the pre-packaged meals he used to buy.

“Stop teasing them already,” Brianna said right before a loud yawn made her stop talking.

“Hmph. I’ll tease them however and whenever I want.” Secilia crossed her arms. “It’s their fault we’re so tired anyway. If they just fucked, you and I wouldn’t be this exhausted all the time. They deserve this.”

I want to say she can’t blame us for that… but I really can’t deny that she’s right. Anthony thought with a sigh.

Marianne looked down at the table, seemingly ashamed by her inability to decide whether or not she wanted to have sex with him. Anthony could feel the conflict she had. He was pretty sure she did want to be with him, but she was afraid of committing herself to such a permanent relationship, which was completely understandable. Mating with an incubus was the most permanent thing a woman could do.

“All right,” he said. “I think that’s enough teasing for now. We should hurry up and eat breakfast. You and I have classes to attend, and Brianna has school.”

“Fine. Fine. I guess I’ll leave things at this,” Secilia sighed.

Everyone began eating breakfast, though the affair was much more silent than usual. Now that he was looking at them, Brianna and Secilia really did appear much more tired than normal. Their postures were slumped, and they yawned periodically. That made him feel guilty, made him wonder if maybe he should put more effort into finding women to bond with. He still needed five—four if he was willing to count Marianne as his.

And yet I wouldn’t even know where to begin looking…

The biggest issue with finding bondmates was that Anthony was extremely particular about who he wanted to bond with. It was a big decision.
